24 Hour Skilled Nursing Care - Registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care 24 hours a day.

Rehab Unit - We maintain a staff of highly trained, professional therapists. For the last four years, our Rehab Department has been nominated for the prestigious Patient Care Conference's annual Rehab Excellence Award. This year, our Unit was recognized and awarded the 2010 Rehab Excellence Award.

Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy - Let us help to restore function, improve mobility, manage pain, as well as aid in the prevention or limitation of disabilities as a result of injury or disease.

Respiratory Therapy - Our trained therapy team is dedicated to maximizing independence for our residents.

Nutritional Therapy - Our medical nutritional therapy promotes a better diet and healthier lifestyle. Our registered dietitian ensures proper nutrition based on each patient's needs and preferences.

Hospice Care - Caris Hospice provides specialized care to our patients when their illnesses no longer respond to aggressive, cure-oriented treatments. Hospice provides a special program of care that helps patients receive emotional and physical comfort. Hospice also provides education, support and counseling to the families and caregivers of patients.

Podiatry Care - Quarterly podiatrist visits can be arranged through our Social Services department. Patients simply fill out a consent form obtained from the receptionist and return the completed form to the Social Services director.

Psychiatric Care - The emotional well-being of our patients is important in the care provided at NHC HealthCare, Mauldin. Arrangements can be made for personalized care by contacting our Social Services department for more information.

Internet Access - We offer wireless internet service throughout our health care center. Specific logon information can be obtained from our receptionist.

Beauty/Barber Shop - Personal hair care services is provided by a licensed beautician who is available Monday - Thursday, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Hours and days may be subject to change.

Family support group meetings - We offer monthly support group meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. Light refreshments are provided.

Laundry - We offer personal laundry care for our patients at a cost of $1.10 per day. We ask that all items be clearly marked with the patient's first and last name. Changes can be made as needed with Social Services

Respite Care - Designed to give family members a much needed break from the demands of caring for the chronically or terminally ill at home. We provide the patient with a comfortable and secure medical and social environment.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care - NHC HealthCare, Mauldin is one of the leading providers of Alzheimer's and Dementia care. We cater to specific Alzheimer's and dementia symptoms including memory impairments, sun downing and wandering. We provide assistance with activities of daily living, individualized nursing care, activities to ensure quality of life, and supportive services to loved ones. Our state of the art unit provides a safe and secure environment.

Pain Management - Pain Management involves an interdisciplinary team approach who will assess, treat, and monitor the pain of the patient. Our interdisciplinary team will educate patients/families about pain medications and ensure safety during pain medication administration.

Wound Therapy - Our interdisciplinary team uses topical treatments to promote healing of acute and chronic wounds.

IV Therapy - Using new technologies, pharmaceutical drugs, and our equipment, we provide increasingly complex treatments using IV Therapy in our home-like environment.

Activity Therapy - Our Activity Department offers independent, in-room, and group activities to meet the physical, social, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of our residents 7 days a week. Activity boxes in each unit ensure that recreation materials are available 24 hours a day. We strive to enrich our patients' lives, maintain their highest level of self-esteem and provide social interactions.

Outpatient Services - Our outpatient services are convenient because all the care you need is often provided in one location. NHC HealthCare, Mauldin Rehab Department provides physical and occupational therapy services not only to our inpatient, nursing home patients, but also to members of the community on an outpatient basis.
